What does Autumn mean to you?

autumn is the best time of year..
because i live in florida there is less of that beautiful thing that happens to the trees but it's still amazing..
the wind picks up.. and my allegries take a brake.. and my friends and i will go to the beach at night..
and it'll be too cold to get in the water.. but somehow we will end up wet.. as is tradition..
and we bring blankets and watch the waves crash..
the waves seem heavier this time of year.. and it's sound can seem to completely surround you.. and it's so easy to feel small.. which is ironically one of the most peaceful feelings.

i get treated like an adult and by the same fashion, am expected to act like an adult// which lets face it is no fun.
i will be the first 19 year to admit that they still sleep with a teddy bear(his name is darlin)
and i still cry sometimes when i don't get my way (granted it's not about getting a snack after dinner anymore.. but i still do cry about DUMB things)
that and 19 is pointless, you are old enough to get tried as an adult but not old enough to go out in drink with the rest of my friends// i'm old enough to declare myself as an independant but not old enough to get a "real" job//
the only thing that makes me a real adult is the fact that i can vote// YOU'RE GOING DOWN McCAIN!!

What would engage more people in creating a positive future?

sad to say but.. money//
people are only going to help others if something is in it for them..
it's the only way we work..
haha.. even christains do it.. they believe that the "good" they do in the world will not go unnoticed by god..
so really everyone that does something is doing it for themselves in some way..
weither your a christain, or belive in karma, or just helping out at your job off the clock so your friend that you have been waiting to get off will get off sooner so that you don't miss the movie//
the only way to engage more people in any goal is to give the people a benfit that directly effects them now
